Sassy Salsa Soup

4 C chicken broth
1 can pumpkin
1 can black beans, rinsed
1 can yellow corn (or 1 pkg. frozen)
3/4 C salsa (the kids liked the 'mild', Jim liked it with 'medium')
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 can chicken breasts (optional)

Blend pumpkin into chicken broth. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for about 30 mins. (It's really good the next day)

Makes 4 generous servings.
Serve with corn bread or nacho chips.
